Videos surface of Wolfgang Van Halen playing bass with Tremonti

Videos have surfaced on the internet of Wolfgang Van Halen playing bass with Mark Tremonti's solo band.  This comes a day after the surprise announcement that Wolfgang would be joining Tremonti on tour, starting with last night's concert in Rhode Island, the first show of a six-week run through the USA and Europe.  It remains unclear whether Wolfgang is only filling in until Mark is able to identify a more permanent replacement for his usual bassist, Brian Marshall.  With no Van Halen tour dates scheduled over the next few months due to Eddie Van Halen's recent surgery, all signs point to Wolfgang staying with the band for the entire tour.

The first video was posted by Taki Sassaris, the lead singer of Eve to Adam, who opened for last night's Tremonti show as well as a string of Creed shows earlier this year.  The clip depicts the Tremonti solo band practicing an instrumental version of "New Way Out" with Wolfgang on bass.  Given that Wolfgang only got the call to cover bass duties for Tremonti one day prior, this video presumably depicts the first rehearsal session with Wolfgang, just hours before the first concert of the tour that evening.

The next five videos were taken at that evening's concert at the Rock Junction in West Greenwich, Rhode Island.  In these clips, the band performs a selection of Mark's solo tracks including "Proof", "The Things I've Seen", "Decay", "New Way Out", and "Brains".

Finally, this clip depicts about 90 seconds of "Wish You Well":
