US Tour To Kick Off on December 10th

(November 17, 2010 – New York, NY) It has been three years since Alter Bridge’s last release in the US, but it is clear their fans have been waiting for their return. The band’s latest release, ABIII, self-released on Alter Bridge recordings via EMI label services, has landed at #17 on this week’s Billboard Top 200.

Myles Kennedy singer for Alter Bridge had this to day about their chart debut, “We are really grateful for all of the support we have received since ABIII was released. The response has been overwhelming to say the least. For us, the most rewarding part is having the opportunity to play these songs live to our friends on the road. We look forward to seeing all of you very soon.”

“We are absolutely thrilled with the Alter Bridge chart debut and as the radio story continues to explode, we are looking forward to continued success with a great partner,” said Mike Harris, GM of EMI Label Services. Their first single, “Isolation,” is currently at #9 on the Active and Mainstream Rock Charts only 3 weeks after its impact date. The single is already Top 10 on major radio stations including: KQRC (Kansas City), KXXR (Minneapolis) and KHTB (Salt Lake City) to name a few and Modern Rock Q101 Chicago and KPNT St Louis. “ Isolation” is already #1 on Myles hometown station KHTQ (Spokane).

This December, Alter Bridge will embark on their first US tour in two year. Kicking off in Grand Rapids, MI on December 10th, the 12 city trek will run through the holiday season and make stops in major markets including New York, Dallas, Chicago and Baltimore before wrapping up in Houston on January 8th. This is just the warm-up run before the band’s full US tour this spring.

In addition to the band, each member is also involved in various music projects -Mark, Brian and Scott spend their down time being the musical section of rock juggernauts, Creed, while Myles keeps himself busy as the frontman for Slash.
